Luum CEO, Sohier Hall, was recently interviewed by the Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ). The article focuses on the state of employer provided commuter benefits during Covid-19.

Despite budget constraints, employers are carefully considering the commute as they plan their return to offices—and prioritizing the safety of their employees. Many organizations are investing in flexible subsidies, daily parking, and active commute options. All in an effort to complement long-term telework options for employees.

Weekday transit ridership has dropped drastically during stay at home orders but local experts don’t believe these trends will last forever. However, it is hard to predict when riders will return to shared modes like transit. In the meantime, employers are doing what they can to prepare for the future. With employee health and safety a top priority, not only in the office, but also during the commute.
